GPT Store is an online platform/marketplace for ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscribers as of now to share and monetize their customized GPTs . It’s a store where users can sell and share customized AI agents based on OpenAI’s large language models.
For example there can be a GPT which is trained on Bible’s data and it would answer all your questions related to the Holy Bible , another GPT can help you build your resume because it might be trained on hundreds of resume data. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it ?
During its November developers conference- Devday, OpenAI initially revealed this plan allowing others to develop AI agents known as GPTs, utilizing the GPT-4 large language model. The store was initially supposed to be launched in the month of November, but it was delayed to December. But OpenAI recently emailed their ChatGPT Plus users that it’s going to be launched next week (2nd week of January 2024). Take a look at it.

How to create a GPT of your own ?
- Go to https://chat.openai.com/gpts/editor
- If you already on the website then click on your name and then “My GPTs”.
- Click on “Create a GPT.”
- In the Create tab, use the GPT Builder to guide the creation of a new GPT. You can request something like “Make a data analyst who can analyze Excel files related to website traffic” or something like “Make a software engineer who can code in Python and R”
- Next give a name and image to your GPT. ChatGPT would suggest some names but you can keep your custom name.
- Give context for your GPT. This simply means giving the chatbot more information ,which could be a document like a pdf or word or txt file to read or it can be just plain-text instructions on how you’d like it to answer your queries, and what you’d like it to do.
- Then name and describe your GPT in the Configure tab. Here, you can also choose the actions you want your GPT to perform, such as web browsing or image creation.
- When you’re ready, click “Publish” to share your GPT with others if you wish.
